Embrace the Vase 2024

"Embrace the Vase" is a ceramic exhibition showcasing vases that blend artistry and functionality. Nationally recognized ceramic artist Martha Grover has invited 15 artists and will jury the remaining participating artists. The exhibition will be on view and for sale at the Handcrafted Shop at the Worcester Center for Crafts and listed in the online store at wccgallerystore.com. Awards include a $150 juror's choice award, $100 student award, and $50 staff pick artist award, announced at the start of the exhibition.

Eligibility and Requirements: Open to artists living or working in the United States, ages 18 and over. Vases must be no larger than 16" tall. Work must be ceramic of varying types, with 2 out of 3 pieces required to be functional. All work must be available for sale with no single piece exceeding $250 in retail price. Submit 3-6 high quality images of 3 pieces with descriptions. Entry fee is $30 ($15 for currently enrolled students with discount code). Exhibition dates are June 21 - July 20, 2024.

Delivery and Consignment: Accepted pieces must be hand-delivered by May 10, 2024 (during gallery store hours) or shipped by May 10, 2024 to The Worcester Center for Crafts, attn: Handcrafted Shop, Embrace the Vase, 25 Sagamore Rd., Worcester, MA 01605. All accepted and delivered pieces must be accompanied by a signed consignment contract and prepaid or emailed return shipping label. The gallery receives 50% of profits from sales. Unsold work will be shipped for return starting August 9, 2024, or available for pickup August 9-16, 2024. The gallery reserves the right to exclude work that arrives broken or does not reflect the quality of submitted images.
