Embrace the Darkness - A Haunting October Exhibit 2025

Las Laguna Art Gallery invites artists to submit work for "Embrace the Darkness," an October exhibition celebrating the macabre, eerie, and spine-chilling elements of the Day of the Dead and Halloween. All mediums are welcome, including acrylic, airbrush, charcoal, collage, color pencil, computer art, digital art, digital photography, drawings, encaustic, fiber arts, glass art, graphite, illustration, mixed media, new media, oil, pastel, pen and ink, photo assemblage, printmaking, sculpture, traditional photography, video, and watercolor.

Submit 3-15 images of your work for jury review. Entry fee is $35.00, with an additional $2.00 per image beyond the first three. The in-gallery submission deadline is September 16, 2025. The online-only submission deadline is October 30, 2025 at 11:59 p.m. MDT. Jury review occurs September 17 - October 31, 2025. Notification for in-gallery selections is expected in early September; online selections will be notified through September and October 2025.

Selected artists will have work displayed in the gallery from October 2 through November 2025, with an artist reception on Thursday, October 2 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. At least one piece from each submitted artist will be posted on the gallery's website. Artists not selected by the jury for the in-gallery exhibition may rent wall space if available. Jury-selected artists are not charged wall rent or other fees. Commission is 65% artist, 35% gallery. Open to all local, national, and international artists.
