Ellarslie Open 37/38

Premier juried exhibition presented by the Trenton Museum Society and the Trenton City Museum at Ellarslie Mansion. Open to all artists eighteen years of age or older. All media may be entered with the exception of video/film. Work must have been created in the last three years and not previously exhibited at the Trenton City Museum.

Entry fee: $30 for the first submission ($25 for Trenton Museum Society members with promo code); $20 each for up to 5 additional submissions (limit of 6 pieces total, with a maximum of two pieces per category). Submit images of up to 6 pieces online through April 30, 2021. Preliminary online jurying rounds will take place May 1-27, with artists notified of selected work for the final in-person jurying round. Hand delivery of selected artwork to the museum is May 28, with final jurying June 8-10. Exhibition on view and online from June 26 to October 3, 2021. Awards and prizes offered in 10 categories, with $1000 Prize for Best In Show.

Work requirements: Hanging work must be properly framed, professionally presented, wired, and ready to hang; no sawtooth hangers accepted. Work on paper must be under glass or Plexiglass. Heavy sculpture must be on a dolly. 3-dimensional work must be easily moved by two people. No dimension of pieces may exceed 72". Multi-panel diptychs or triptychs will be judged as one piece. The Museum reserves the right to disqualify any entry for any reason including work deemed poorly matted or framed, presented unprofessionally, too fragile, or imposing special handling.
