About This Call
Elevate: A Group Exhibition of Fiber and Textile-Based Art invites artists to submit outstanding examples of contemporary fiber and textile work for inclusion in the Grand Opening Exhibition, dedicated to highlighting the breadth and sophistication of the medium. This juried show welcomes submissions in weaving, embroidery, quilting, basketry, fiber sculpture, mixed media, and other textile-based art forms.
Selected works will be displayed in the gallery and made available for sale on commission, offering artists the opportunity to connect with collectors, curators, and the fiber art community. Exceptional submissions may also be considered for future solo or featured artist exhibitions. The exhibition celebrates original work that demonstrates technical skill, fresh perspective, and a commitment to elevating fiber and textile art within the realm of fine art.
Artists may submit up to 3 works for consideration. Maximum size is 24 x 36 inches (including any framing or mounting). Submissions must include high quality images of each work and an additional detail shot if applicable (1200 pixels on longest side), artwork details (title, dimensions, medium, year, and retail price), and a short artist statement (200 words maximum). The non-refundable entry fee is $20 and covers submission of up to 3 artworks. Entry fees are non-refundable except for withdrawals requested before jurying begins, in which case a $5 admin fee will be deducted.
Open to artists 18 and older working in fiber, textile, or fiber-adjacent media and natural materials. Both 2D and 3D works are welcome, including hand or machine stitching, quilting, weaving, felting, soft sculpture, mixed media, basketry, and work using natural materials such as reeds, rope, and plant fibers. Original work only; no reproductions. Artwork must be ready to hand or professionally presented. Artists cover shipping to and from the gallery. Selection is based on artistic merit and originality, technical skill and craftsmanship, suitability for gallery display, and relevance to the exhibition theme. Exhibition dates: August 15 - September 30, 2025. Jury dates: July 17 - 27, 2025.
