Element of Sport

Sedona Arts Center invites artists to submit work for the Element of Sport exhibition, running April 4-27, 2025. This exhibition celebrates the intersection of art and sport, welcoming diverse interpretations of sport and sport-inspired pieces across all artistic styles. Work selected will capture the essence, spirit, energy, and passion of sport through visual expression. Art created by current or former athletes will be considered. All art mediums are accepted, including 2-D, 3-D, audio, and video. Only original artwork made within the last 3 years is eligible. Emerging to professional artists, 18 years and older, can apply.

Entry deadline is February 28, 2025 at 11:59 p.m. MST. Entry fee is $30. Artists may submit up to three images in JPEG format with a minimum resolution of 300 DPI. Notifications will be sent by March 7, 2025. Shipped work must be received by March 31, 2025, or hand delivered by March 31, 2025. The opening reception is April 4, 2025, 4-6 p.m.

Monetary awards include First Place/Best of Show ($500), Second Place ($250), and Third Place ($150). Honorable mention awards will be given at the discretion of jurors with no monetary amount attached. A People's Choice Award is announced at the end of the show with no monetary award. Sales are split 60% artist / 40% Sedona Arts Center. Artwork cannot have been previously displayed in any other Sedona Arts Center exhibition.
