About This Call
Edward Hopper House Museum & Study Center announces the 2026 Annual Juried Exhibition, open to established and emerging artists 18 years or older. This competitive exhibition is open to EHHM Artist Members and Non-Member Artists. Eligible artwork must have been completed after January 1, 2023 and never previously exhibited at the EHHM.
The exhibition marks the 55th anniversary of the Hopper House as a nonprofit arts organization. Titled "55 x 2," the show will be presented in two parts, each showcasing works by 55 artists. Part 1 runs February 20-March 22, 2026, with an opening reception on February 20, 5-7 pm. Part 2 runs March 27-April 26, 2026, with an opening reception on March 27, 5-7 pm. The juror is Indira A. Abiskaroon Valbuena, Curatorial Assistant of Modern and Contemporary Art at the Brooklyn Museum.
Entry fees for EHHM members are $25 for the first two pieces, then $10 for a third (three submissions maximum). Non-member entry fees are $50 for the first piece, then $20 for a second (two submissions maximum). MFA-enrolled member students receive a $20 discount; MFA-enrolled non-member students receive a $10 discount. Membership must be active through April 2026. The submission deadline is Monday, January 5, 2026 (11:59 p.m.). Notification of juried-in artists will be sent Monday, January 26, 2026.
Prizes include $1,000 in total prize money: First Place $500, Second Place $300, Third Place $200. Additional awards include a Juror's Award and Visitor's Choice Award, each providing an upgraded 1-year artist membership to Friends of the Museum ($150 value). Artwork drop-off for Part 1 is February 16-17, 2026 (10a-4p); pick-up is March 23-24, 2026 (10a-4p). Artwork drop-off for Part 2 is March 24-25, 2026 (10a-4p); pick-up is April 27-28, 2026 (10a-4p). Exhibited artwork may be sold through the Museum Store (35% commission) or via the show's gallery page on ArtCall.org. Accepted exhibiting artists receive five complimentary admission tickets.
