About This Call
The Edmonds Arts Festival Small Works Marketplace features miniatures, small paintings, and small artisan works. This marketplace allows buyers to take their purchases immediately upon payment rather than waiting until the end of the festival.
Entry fee is $25.00 for one to five pieces. Artists must submit 1-5 digital images (JPEG format, 1,200 pixels minimum on longest side, under 5MB). Miniatures must not exceed 5"x5" unframed (25 sq. in.) or 8"x6" framed (48 sq. in.). Small paintings range from 6"x6" to 11"x11" final framed size. Small artisan works (fiber arts, woodwork, ceramics, jewelry, glass, beading, etc.) must not exceed 12"x12"x12" and be priced at no more than $225. All artwork must be professional in appearance, wired, and ready for hanging. Sawtooth picture hangers are not accepted.
Accepted artists will be notified by email by May 13-17. Artwork must be dropped off at Frances Anderson Center (700 Main St., Edmonds, WA) by 6 p.m. on June 8. The festival runs June 14-16 (Friday and Saturday 10 a.m. - 7 p.m., Sunday 10 a.m. - 5 p.m.). Unsold pieces may be picked up June 16 from 5:15 p.m. - 7 p.m. or June 17 from 11 a.m. - 1 p.m. A 35% commission is collected on all sales. More than $10,000 in cash awards will be presented at the Gallery Arts Awards Reception. Artists must be 16 years or older, all entries must be original work produced within the last five years, and work cannot have been previously shown at the Edmonds Arts Festival. A shipping option is available through Phoenix Art Restoration for a fee for artists unable to deliver work in person.
