About This Call
Edition is a national juried exhibition of photography and printmaking. The exhibition features all forms of photography and printmaking including photography that does or does not involve transforming or altering images using digital or physical methods such as long or double exposures, compositing, or digital software, as well as fine art printmaking in traditional methods such as screen printing, letterpress, relief, lithography, and intaglio.
The exhibition is co-curated by gallery manager Amanda Bradley and exhibition juror John Miles Runner. The d'Art Center will host an in-person public reception according to state COVID guidelines, will broadcast the reception awards via Facebook Live, will upload the award video to YouTube, and will list exhibiting pieces for sale on the d'Art Center website. Exhibition dates are Saturday, May 29th through Sunday, June 20th, 2021, with a reception on Thursday, June 3rd from 5:30-7:30pm. Notifications will be sent by email by 5pm on Monday, May 10th, 2021. Accepted works must arrive by 5pm on Friday, May 21st, 2021.
Eligibility is open to all artists 18 or older residing in the United States. All work must be original, created without the aid of an instructor or kit, and produced within the last five years. Entry fee is $35 for 3 works (one image per submission) with an additional $5 for each submission beyond 3, up to a maximum of 10 works. Artists must submit 3-10 images. Works cannot exceed 50 pounds or be longer than 60 inches in its longest dimension. Awards are: 1st Place $500, 2nd Place $300, 3rd Place $150. The d'Art Center is located at 740 Boush Street in Norfolk, Virginia. For questions about whether work qualifies, contact [email protected].
