About This Call

Eastern Wyoming College is seeking existing photographs that highlight the service area of EWC, which is based in Torrington, Wyoming and serves Crook, Weston, Niobrara, Converse, Platte, and Goshen counties. The committee is interested in work that showcases the role of agriculture throughout these areas. Images that connect directly to EWC or the programs housed in ATEC, as well as any of the seasons, landscape, nature, wildlife, livestock, farming, ranching and lifestyle images will be considered. Photographs that show agriculture-related subjects or one of the ag-related areas of study offered at EWC will be strongly considered. This is a national call; Wyoming artists are encouraged to apply.

Submissions are due January 8, 2021 at 11:59 p.m. MST via CaFÉ. Artists are required to specify the location depicted in their photograph(s) in the description field when uploading artwork samples. Photographs must be submitted in high-resolution format: 300-600 dpi minimum, minimum of 3000 pixels on the long side, vector or .eps file type, and horizontal format. Submit 1-10 images. Selected photographs will be digitally printed at 9'-8 ½" wide x 5'-4" high. If selected, artists are only required to provide the digital file; EWC is responsible for printing.

Up to $500 is available per photograph. There are 12 spaces where photographs will be featured in the new building. The committee reserves the right to select some, none, or all photographs submitted by any individual photographer. The committee will review submissions in mid-January, and following selection, artists will have one week to send high-resolution files to the college. Printing and installation of the digital wallpaper is planned for mid-February 2021. For assistance, contact Sally Watson at 307-532-8303.
