About This Call
Barrett Art Center invites artists to submit work that explores mankind's impact on the environment and our relationship with the earth. Artists are invited to submit works that stimulate conversation about our evolving ideas about the landscape and climate change in contemporary culture.
Eligible media include drawing, painting (all mediums), pastel, printmaking, photography, sculpture, fiber, mixed-media, new media, and installation works. Both contemporary and traditional pieces are welcome that create a visually-compelling complement or counterpoint to Barrett Art Center's 1840s Greek Revival townhouse interior. The exhibition will be held March 28 – May 2, 2020.
Entry fees are $45 for the first three images plus $5 for each additional image (non-members); BAC members pay $35 for the first three images plus $5 for each additional image. Submit 3-10 images and up to 3 videos. The juror is Karl Kusserow, John Wilmerding Curator of American Art at Princeton University Art Museum. Awards include $500 Juror's Prize, $250 Second Prize, and $125 Honorable Mention. For membership information and coupon codes, visit www.barrettartcenter.org/membership or contact [email protected] or 845-471-2550.
