Earth Stories, Landscape and Human Activities

The International Photography Hall of Fame invites photographers to submit work for the "Earth Stories, Landscape and Human Activities" juried photography competition. This competition explores human beings as an integral part of the biosphere and the consequences of our actions. Submissions should reflect local stories and interpretations of humanity's impact—positive or negative—on the landscape, cityscape, and neighborhoods.

Submission dates are August 19 – October 17, 2024. Entry fee is $35 for non-members ($10 per additional image, up to 10 total); IPHF Photographer's Circle members receive their first three photos free. Photographers must submit 3-10 JPEG images in RGB color mode, sized with either width or height at approximately 1600 pixels while maintaining aspect ratio. The competition is open to artists 18 years or older. Eligible work includes two-dimensional photographic work derived from traditional or digital processes that is original and has never been exhibited before at IPHF. Artwork created primarily from generative A.I. and three-dimensional work are not eligible.

The competition is juried by Fabian Goncalves and Rafa Cruz of the Art Museum of the Americas. Awards include: Grand Prize $1000, First Place $500, Second Place $250, and Third Place $100. Selected works will be featured in an online exhibition at iphf.org. All entrants will be notified of acceptance or declination via email. For questions, contact [email protected].
