Earth and Fire: A Ceramics Show

Ceramics and ceramics education has been a cornerstone of the Sedona Arts Center since its founding over 65 years ago. As part of the Elements series this season, the center invites all ceramic artists to submit work for consideration for Earth and Fire. The exhibit will be held in the Special Exhibitions Gallery at Sedona Arts Center from January 3-31, 2025, with an opening reception on January 3, 2025, from 4-6pm.

Eligible artists are emerging to professional artists, 18 years and older. Artwork must be made within the last 3 years and cannot have been on display in any other Sedona Arts Center Exhibition. The entry fee is $30.00. Artists may submit up to three images of their artwork in JPEG format with a minimum resolution of 300 DPI. Images should include the title of the piece in the file name, and artists must list the title, dimensions, medium, and price of their pieces on the entry form.

Monetary awards will be given for First Place/Best of Show ($500), Second Place ($250), and Third Place ($150). Honorable mention awards will be awarded at the discretion of the jurors with no monetary amount attached. A People's Choice Award is announced at the end of the show with no monetary award attached. Sales are split 60% artist / 40% Sedona Arts Center. Notification to artists will be sent December 6, 2024. Work must be delivered or shipped to arrive by December 20, 2024. Artists may pick up work or have it shipped back February 3-4, 2025. A return shipping label must be included or emailed prior to the end of the show.
