About This Call
Anderson Center's Early Career Artist Residency Program offers month-long residency-fellowships at Tower View to emerging artists from Minnesota or one of the five boroughs of New York City. The program provides concentrated, uninterrupted creative time for artists to advance their personal artistic goals and projects.
Thanks to generous support from the Jerome Foundation, selected emerging artists receive a $625/week artist stipend, documentation support, art-making resources, lodging and studio space, a travel honorarium, groceries, and chef-prepared communal dinners. The residency is designed for early-career artists in need of focused time and dedicated space in an inspiring work environment that empowers them to take risks, embrace challenges, and utilize unconventional approaches to problem-solving.
Anderson Center is an artist community founded in 1995 on the Tower View estate in rural Red Wing, Minnesota, approximately 1 hour outside the Twin Cities metro. The residency is open to artists working in Craft/Traditional Arts, Photography, Drawing, Film/Video/New Media, Mixed-Media/Multi-Discipline, Painting, and Sculpture.
