About This Call
The Eagan Art Festival is a two-day outdoor event featuring over 85 artist vendors, live music, artist demonstrations, a community art project, food trucks, and activities for all ages. The festival sees 10,000+ visitors annually and is known for great artist hospitality and support. It is an annual program of Dakota Center for the Arts, a 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to supporting local artists, providing free art experiences for the public, and contributing to arts education initiatives.
Artists may apply in up to 3 art medium categories (Ceramics, Drawing, Fiber, Glass, Illustration, Jewelry, Metal Works, Mixed Media, Painting, Photography, Printmaking, Sculpture, or Wood Works), submitting a separate application for each category. All work displayed must be for sale. Emerging artists are welcome and may submit booth layout photos or sketches. The EAF is a juried show with different jurors each year to ensure varied perspectives. Artist awards include Best of Show ($200), Award of Excellence ($150), Award of Merit ($100), Best Booth ($100), and up to 5 Honorable Mentions.
Entry fees for artists include a $40 non-refundable administration fee, a registration/space fee of $220 for 10'x10' or $440 for 10'x20', and $50 per 25 amp for electric power if needed. Check-in is Friday, June 20, 3:00pm-6:00pm or Saturday, June 21, 6:00am-9:00am. The festival runs Saturday, June 21, 9:00am-5:00pm and Sunday, June 22, 10:00am-4:00pm. Full refunds are available through May 2, 2025; 50% refunds for cancellations between May 2-30; no refunds after May 30. Vendors must provide their own tents, tables, and displays with minimum 200 lbs of tent weights. All vendors must charge and collect 7.125% Minnesota state sales tax.
