Dynamic: d'Art's 1st Annual National Contemporary Arts Exhibition During the NFK NEON Festival

Dynamic is d'Art Center's first annual contemporary arts showcase exhibition featuring artworks from artists across the United States. The exhibition showcases work produced within the last two years (January 2020 - September 2021), allowing artists to display their current style, aesthetic, and bodies of work regardless of theme, medium, or content. The exhibition takes place during Norfolk's Annual NEON Festival.

Artists may submit 3 to 10 works for a $45 entry fee (covering 3 works) plus $5 for each additional submission. Work must not exceed 60 inches in its longest dimension and weigh no more than 50 pounds. All work must be original, created without instructor or kit assistance, and appropriate for all viewers. Eligibility is open to artists 18 or older residing in the United States.

The exhibition is juried by gallery manager Amanda Bradley and exhibition juror Solomon Isekeije. Awards include 1st Place ($500), 2nd Place ($300), and 3rd Place ($150). The exhibition runs October 16 - November 7, 2021, with an opening reception on Friday, October 22, 2021, 5-9pm at d'Art Center's Main Gallery (740 Boush St., Norfolk, Virginia). Accepted works must arrive by 5pm on Sunday, October 8, 2021. Artists are responsible for shipping costs and insuring their work. The d'Art Center is not responsible for damage during shipping or transit.
