Dynamic: A Juried National Contemporary Arts Exhibition During the Norfolk NEON Festival

Dynamic is a juried national contemporary arts exhibition featuring artworks produced within the last two years (August 2021 - Present). This exhibition is open to all functional and non-functional work in 2D, 3D, fine art, and fine craft in all mediums and styles. The exhibition will be held at d'Art Center's Main Gallery, located at 740 Boush St. in Norfolk's NEON District, from Friday, October 20, 2023 through Saturday, November 11, 2023. A reception will be held during the NEON Festival on Friday, October 20, 2023 from 5-9pm.

Entry fee is $35 for 3 submissions (one image per artwork submission). Additional submissions up to 10 works can be submitted at $5 per submission. Artists must submit a minimum of 3 images. Work must arrive by 5pm Friday, October 13, 2023 and be hang or pedestal ready. Work may be no longer than 60" in its longest dimension and weigh no more than 50 pounds; size and weight restrictions may be waived by contacting the Gallery Manager. The exhibition will be co-curated by juror Christopher Revels and d'Art Center Gallery Manager and Center Curator Amanda Bradley. Accepted artists will be notified by email by 5pm Monday, September 25, 2023.

Awards: 1st Place $500, 2nd Place $300, 3rd Place $150. Gallery commission on sales is 60/40 (60% artist, 40% d'Art Center). Artists are responsible for shipping costs to and from the gallery. Works must include pre-paid return labels through FedEx or UPS. Works can be picked up beginning Tuesday, November 14, 2023. Shipped work is generally returned by the Wednesday following the last day of the show. Artist statements of 555 characters or less (including spaces and punctuation) should be submitted on the application platform.
