Durango Autumn Arts Festival 2025

Celebrating 31 years of presenting fine art and fine craft by makers from around the country, this festival takes place amidst the fall colors on quaint Second Avenue in historic downtown Durango, Colorado. Organized as a benefit event by and for the Durango Arts Center, the region's premiere non-profit arts organization serving Durango and the Four Corners, the festival is ranked one of the top festivals in the country welcoming an estimated 7,000 to 8,000 visitors. Artists and craftspeople report the show is well organized and offers great hospitality and friendly, steady crowds.

The festival runs Saturday, September 20 from 10 a.m. - 5 p.m. and Sunday, September 21 from 10 a.m. - 5 p.m. Booth fees are $400 for 10' x 10' spaces and $750 for 10' x 20' spaces (limited availability), with all booth fees due by July 31st, 2025. A non-refundable application fee of $50 is required for each category entered. Awards include Best of Show for Fine Art and Fine Craft ($500 cash award each plus automatic acceptance and waived application fee for 2026), Best Booth, People's Choice, Good Vibes, and Art Across the Country awards.

Participation is limited to original fine art and fine craft in concept and design, executed by the exhibitor present at the festival. All work displayed must match the type, quality, and materials depicted in submitted images. Artists must provide their own freestanding displays weighted to withstand wind and rain, and are responsible for proper state and local business licenses and sales tax collection. The festival offers amenities including friendly booth sitters, indoor restrooms, drinking water access, and professional security monitoring Saturday night.
