About This Call
Dune Birds in Art 2019 is a regional exhibition open to artists in Indiana. The call seeks artwork depicting birds of the Midwest region and migrating birds of the Midwest region.
Accepted media includes all 2D mediums (oil, acrylic, watercolor, printmaking, and photography) as well as sculptural works in various media. Artwork must have been created in 2017, 2018, or 2019, must be original in conception and execution, and may not have been created in a workshop or class. Artwork dimensions must not exceed 40 inches in any direction (including frame) and must not exceed 50 lbs. A maximum of two entries may be submitted for review, but only one work may be admitted. One digital image per 2D work and one digital image per 3D work may be submitted.
Entry fee is $35.00 for the first entry and $5.00 for each additional entry. Artists are responsible for all packing, crating, shipping, and return shipping costs. Mounting, matting, and framing are the artist's responsibility. Sculpture must be ready for display. No commission is taken on sold works; works may be marked NFS. All submitting artists will be notified by email of selection decisions the week of April 22nd (latest April 27th). Upon selection, packaging and shipping instructions will be sent to the artist. Jurors are Kristina Knowski, Kimberly Beck, and Penny Starin.
