Drip: A Ceramic Exhibition Highlighting the Glaze Drip

Drip is a ceramic exhibition highlighting the glaze drip, held at the Morean Center for Clay from December 8, 2018 through January 31, 2019 in St. Petersburg, Florida. The purpose of this exhibition is to nurture and advance the careers of emerging and established ceramic artists while also giving the community the opportunity to discover exciting new art being made in the region.

The exhibition is open to all ceramic artists age 18 or older. All work must be original, completed within the last two years, and not previously exhibited at the Morean. Submissions should include 1-3 images of work that would be included in the exhibition or similar work. Video submissions may include up to 5 files. For site-specific installations, include a schematic drawing as one image and describe how you would incorporate a specific space into your work. There is no size limitation, but work must be reasonably adaptable to the Morean galleries. All visual arts media are encouraged. The entry fee is $25.00.

Accepted work may be hand-delivered or shipped (pre-paid) to arrive no later than November 25, 2018. Work will be insured for the duration of the exhibition while on site at the Morean. Artists are responsible for return shipping and insurance during transit. Sales are encouraged and the Morean retains a 50% commission on all works sold during the exhibition. Artists will be paid for sold works within 30 days of the close of the exhibition. Selection will be made by the curatorial staff and an outside juror based on submitted images and plans. The opening reception is December 8, 2018 from 5-9pm. Accepted artists will be notified by November 15, 2018. Work pickup is April 29, 2019.
