Drift: Juried Exhibition at Silverwood Park

Silverwood Park invites artists who are at least 18 years old to submit work for the juried exhibition Drift, running October 12 - November 30, 2023. The exhibition explores drift as it relates to the natural world, considering monumental sand dunes, boats on the water, smoke from wildfires, and displacement due to environmental crisis. The word drift refers to movement driven by an outside force. Work can be 2-D or 3-D, representational or abstract. 3-D work must fit on a 15" x 15" pedestal or be freestanding or suspended.

Juror Tessa Beck is a consultant and independent curator based in Fargo, ND and Minneapolis, MN, with experience as Executive Director at the Nemeth Art Center and co-founder of Look: Project Space. She holds a BFA from North Dakota State University with emphasis in art history, photography, and curatorial studies.

Application Deadline: August 12 by 11:59 pm. Notification by email September 15. Delivery by shipment or drop-off September 25 - October 3. Opening reception October 12 from 6 - 8 pm. Return of artwork December 1 - 10 for artist pick-up or week of December 11 for return shipping. Submit 1-5 images, image info for each image, artist statement, and resume or bio as PDF. Artists are responsible for all shipping fees and insurance. Work must be ready to hang and framed with wire. Silverwood retains a 30% commission on work sold in gallery.
