Drawn From Nature Juried Art Show

The John James Audubon Center and Valley Forge Audubon Society invite artists to submit work for this juried exhibition. The theme features birds, wildlife, and/or nature, with or without human presence, and/or the impact of birds, wildlife, nature, or humans on past, present, or future environments. More than $2,000 in cash prizes will be awarded for outstanding work. The show provides an opportunity for artists to exhibit and sell their work, with a 30% commission retained by JJAC to support education programs.

Open to all artists. Work must have been created within the past three years and must be original in concept and composition. No reproductions, previously exhibited JJAC work, or artwork containing feathers will be accepted. Artwork shall not exceed 48 inches on its longest dimension including frame. All artwork must be framed and ready for display with secure hanging wire on the back for two-dimensional works. Work must be completely dry upon receipt, and potentially smearable work on paper must be glazed for protection. Three-dimensional works must be able to be displayed without staff intervention.

Entry fee is $25.00 for up to two works ($20.00 for JJAC/VFAS members). Submit 1-2 digital images in JPEG format (minimum 1920 pixels on longest side, 72 ppi, 5MB maximum) through callforentry.org. Accepted artwork must be hand-delivered March 31 – April 2. The exhibition runs April 7-23, 2017. Artwork pickup is April 23 or April 25, 4:30-6:30 pm. Artists who remove work before the close of the exhibit will not be permitted to exhibit in future exhibitions.
