Drawn From Nature Annual Juried Art Show

The John James Audubon Center and Valley Forge Audubon Society invite artists to submit work for the Drawn From Nature Annual Juried Art Show. Images should feature birds, wildlife, and/or nature, with or without human presence, and/or the impact of birds, wildlife, nature, or humans on past, present, or future environments. More than $2,000 in cash prizes will be awarded for outstanding work. The show provides an opportunity for artists to exhibit and sell their work, with proceeds supporting Audubon education programs.

Open to all artists. Work must have been created within the past three years and must be original in concept and composition. No reproductions, previously exhibited JJAC work, or artwork containing feathers will be accepted. Artwork shall not exceed 48 inches on its longest dimension including frame. All entries must be for sale. Work must be framed and ready for display: two-dimensional works require secure hanging wire; potentially smearable work on paper must be glazed; three-dimensional wall-hung work must be framed for safety. Categories include Oil/Acrylics, Watercolors, Other Two-Dimensional Works-on-Paper/Mixed Media, Photography, and Sculpture and Other Three-Dimensional Work.

Entry fee is $25.00 for up to two works; JJAC/VFAS members receive a $5 discount. Submit 1-2 digital images in JPEG format (minimum 1900 pixels on longest side, 72 ppi/dpi, 5MB maximum) through callforentry.org by March 10, 2019 at 11:59 p.m. MST. Accepted artists deliver work April 6-7, 9am-12pm. The exhibition runs April 13-27, 2019 (Tuesday-Saturday 10am-4pm, Sunday 1pm-4pm, closed Mondays). Artists receive 70% of sale price; JJAC retains 30% commission. Artwork pickup is April 28, 10am-3pm; a $10 per day charge applies to work not picked up by the designated time.
