Drawing Lines Across Mediums is an international juried art exhibition at Site:Brooklyn, a street level gallery located in the Gowanus arts district. The exhibition runs March 22–April 22, 2016, with an opening reception on Wednesday, March 23 from 6–9 PM. This is an open call for submissions from artists working in all two-dimensional media, including drawing, painting, photography, printmaking, and mixed media. The exhibition seeks work that engages all forms of drawing on interconnected levels, involving innovative use of materials and concepts while combining traditional and nontraditional methods of drawing.
The juror is Olga Valle Tetkowski, head of exhibitions at The Drawing Center in NYC. Eligibility is open to all artists 18 years of age or older, international submissions welcome. Entry fee is $35 for up to three images, plus $10 for each additional image (minimum 3, maximum 12 images). Awards of $1,000 will be distributed. Notification of acceptance will be made via email by February 22, 2016, with a confirmation of participation required by February 27, 2016.
Accepted work must be original, suitably framed to professional standards, wired and ready for hanging, and priced for sale. Maximum size is 48" W x 60" H x 4" D. All framed work must use Plexiglas except hand-delivered work less than 24" x 30". Shipped artwork must arrive between February 29–March 16, 2016. Hand delivery is available Tuesday or Wednesday, March 15–16, 12:00 PM–5:00 PM. Site:Brooklyn retains a 40% commission on all sales.
