About This Call
Join us for the celebration of The Downtown Venice Art Classic. Situated on Florida's west coast in Sarasota County, Venice is a charming town rich in history, natural beauty, and featuring independently owned shops and restaurants. The festival takes place along West Venice Avenue and draws in both locals and tourists. The show is closed to the jewelry category, with all jewelry applications juried for wait list only.
This competitive show features 10x10 booth spaces (limited 10x20 double booths available) with show hours Saturday & Sunday 10am-5pm. Set-up is on Saturday. The venue is West Venice Avenue with free public admission and parking located near the show site. Application fee is $535.00 and booth fee is $535. Emerging artists are accepted. Requirements include 4 images of work, 1 booth shot with white canopy tent, and a $35 non-refundable jury fee.
Accepted mediums include clay, digital, fiber, glass, jewelry, mixed media, painting, photography, printmaking/drawing, sculpture, wood, and resin. Artwork must be original, handcrafted, and directly created by the approved individual artist. The artist must be present throughout the event. Howard Alan Events has an ongoing jury process with applications juried in order of date received, so early application is recommended.
