About This Call

Dab Art Co. will review proposals for group exhibitions. Artists chosen for these group exhibitions will be further evaluated and considered for roster selections. A comprehensive and detailed submission should include at least 3 images, a biography and/or artist statement, artist website link, and links to at least 1 social media platform. Early applications are encouraged as exhibition considerations will be made prior to the deadlines.

The Dab Art Co. Gallery is located within the historic core of Downtown Los Angeles in the heart of LA's Arts District and Gallery Row. Gallery exhibition lengths may vary from 4 to 10 weeks, while online exhibitions will vary from 3 to 6 months. Featured artists are invited and encouraged to personally attend receptions. A selected few may be invited for a recorded artist interview and/or panel discussion about their exhibit. Artists selected for the roster receive gallery representation, priority consideration for exhibitions, consultation and portfolio assistance, marketing and promotional assistance in selected publications, online market inventory, and website profile. Roster selections are open and ongoing throughout the year.

Accepted artwork includes painting, printmaking, sculpture, glass, fiber, functional, digital, photography, installation, mixed media, and new genres. Proposals may include multiple disciplines. Entry fee is $35 for 3 images; additional images cost $5 each (maximum 20 images). An optional consultation with the gallery curator is available for $50, which includes in-depth discussion of your submission, review of your website and social media accounts, and constructive feedback. Consultations are non-refundable and have no bearing on final selections. Notifications are sent via email within 2 weeks after the close of each calendar month. All work must be original, unsold work, and the artist must own the sole copyright. Frames, mats, and wiring must be professional quality and in good condition. 2D artwork selected for exhibition must be ready to hang. Gallery retains a 50% commission on all exhibition sales in gallery and online. Payment to artists will be provided within 60 days after the exhibit concludes and receipt of full payment from the buyer. For inquiries, email [email protected].
