About This Call
The Downtown Asheville Festival of the Arts returns to Pack Square on Memorial Day Weekend. Asheville's historic Pack Square is the picturesque backdrop for the festival, with the show set up on the streets of North and South Pack Square. Pack Square is a regional landmark that has been a focal point since the city's creation. Crafters are also encouraged to apply, as a separate craft section will be included in the event.
This competitive show is limited to the number of exhibitors accepted by a jury of highly qualified, talented, experienced artists. The jury meets weekly and applications are juried in order of date received. Show hours are Saturday & Sunday 10am-5pm with free public admission. Spaces are 10x10 (10x20 are limited and require double booth image approval). Accepted mediums include clay, digital, fiber, glass, jewelry, mixed media, painting, photography, printmaking/drawing, sculpture, wood, resin, and craft section.
Application requirements include 3 images of work, 1 image of 10x10 outdoor display with white canopy tent, biography or website, and a $35 non-refundable jury fee. Booth fee is $525.00 paid directly to Howard Alan Events upon invitation. Artwork must be original, handcrafted, and directly created by the approved individual artist. The artist must be present throughout the event to engage with patrons.
