Downtown Adrian Post Card Mural

Downtown Adrian Main Street in Adrian, Michigan is seeking an artist or graphic designer to create an inaugural mural for Downtown Adrian. The concept is a traditional postcard-type mural that will celebrate the history and uniqueness of Adrian. The mural will be approximately 50 feet wide by 20 feet tall. The final submission will be a digital file that will be printed on high quality vinyl for exterior application. The mural is expected to last for at least 5 years.

The selected artist/designer will receive $3,000 for their work. The budget is for the artist/designer only; there is a separate budget for the creation and installation of the vinyl. This mural will be the cornerstone of a public space project taking place this summer and will be the initial mural in a program to expand public art through the Historic Downtown.

The project is open to all professional artists nationwide. Applicants must have experience in similar projects. Applications must include an artist statement explaining the proposed design and a proposed digital design sketch. Entry fee is $25.00.
