DownEast National Juried Indoor Sculpture Exhibition 2022

The DownEast National Juried Indoor Sculpture Exhibition is located in Pitt County, North Carolina. The month-long indoor exhibition at Emerge Gallery is a competition celebrating three-dimensional art forms. Any three-dimensional media that occupies space defined through height, width, and depth is eligible, including ceramics, small metals, large scale metals, fibers, and mixed media.

Eligibility is open to all artists ages 18 and up. Indoor submissions must fit through a standard-sized door and be ready for display. Artists may submit up to 3 entries for $20, with additional entries at $5 each (maximum 6 total). All entries must be submitted digitally as JPGs by January 22, 2022. Work must be able to be exhibited for the full exhibition period, March 4-24, 2022. Drop-off is February 24, 2022 (10am-8pm) or shipped by February 23, 2022. Pick-up is March 26, 2022 (10am-4pm).

Emerge Gallery will retain a 40% commission (30% for East Carolina University students). Gallery insurance covers accepted work from drop-off through March 26, 2022, at 60% of the stated insurance value (maximum $5,000). If work is not for sale, an insurance value must be given and marked NFS. Prizes: 1st Place $500, 2nd Place $250, 3rd Place $100. The juror is James Matson, a sculptor and set designer from Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
