Dorothy Antoinette LaSelle 2025 Travel Fellowship

The Dorothy Antoinette LaSelle Foundation has established the Dorothy Antoinette LaSelle Travel Fellowship to recognize the impact that travel can have on an artist's career. In fall 2025, two awards of $5,000 each will be distributed to visual artists working and residing in the state of Texas, enabling recipients to complete a research trip to further their artistic practice.

Eligibility requirements: Must currently reside in Texas and have lived there for the past year. Must be a practicing professional visual artist with at least 3 solo or group exhibitions in the past 3 years (BFA/MFA and juried exhibitions are eligible). Must currently hold a degree in the arts. There is no application fee.

Applications must include one PDF document (2MB or less) containing: image thumbnails with identifying title, date, medium, and dimensions; artist CV; reference contact list with 2 reference names, email addresses, phone numbers and relationship to the artist; project proposal (200 words or less) including a statement on why the fellowship would be important to your practice and your goals for the travel fellowship, with proposed travel dates; and a copy of valid driver's license or alternate photo ID.
