Doors Open Denver Photo Competition: Y/OUR DENVER 2019

The Denver Architecture Foundation and the Colorado Photographic Arts Center present their 2nd annual Doors Open Denver Photography Competition, Y/OUR Denver. This juried competition invites photographers to find and photograph their favorite areas of Denver and submit architectural imagery. All forms of architectural photography are welcome: black and white, color, exterior, interiors, and detail images from photographers of all skill levels.

Entry is open to Colorado residents, age 18 or older. Photographers may submit up to 3 images. Eligible media include film, scanner, screen-capture, digital camera, and mobile photography. Photos must be of sites within the City of Denver (note that some sites have restrictions on interior and/or exterior photography). The submission deadline is Monday, October 7, 2019. Entry is free. Thirty images will be showcased on the Denver Architecture Foundation and Colorado Photographic Arts Center websites for an online exhibition running November 1 - December 31, 2019. Acceptance notifications will be sent Thursday, October 24, 2019.

Juror Samantha Johnston, Executive Director of CPAC, will select winners. Best in Show receives a 30-minute portfolio review with Samantha Johnston, CPAC individual membership, Denver Architecture Foundation family membership, and a copy of Guide to Denver Architecture. One prize will be awarded in each of three categories (Exterior, Interior, and Detail), each including CPAC individual membership, Denver Architecture Foundation family membership, a copy of Guide to Denver Architecture, and a Denver Architecture Foundation T-shirt.
