Don't Touch Your Face - Juried Competition and Exhibition

Don't Touch Your Face is an open call to all mediums and artists from all locations for an upcoming group exhibition at ShockBoxx Gallery in Hermosa Beach, California, planned to open in June 2020. This is an open call responding to the pandemic experience, inviting artists to capture and tell their stories during this time. The show welcomes a wide variety of experiences and perspectives on what it has been like to live through this as both an artist and a human being.

Entry fees are $25 for a single entry of one image, or up to eight images at $5 per additional image. Video and audio uploads are also available. Work samples can include 1-8 images, 0-5 audio files, and 0-5 video files. Artworks will be judged based on creativity, originality, quality of work, composition, and overall artistic ability. The top artist submissions will win cash prizes and award certificates, as well as featured wall space in the exhibition. Winners will be chosen based on the quality of single entry as well as quality of overall work.

Jurors include Leah Perrino, Astrid Parker, Preston M. Smith, Scott Meskill, and Mike Collins. Competition winners will be announced in early April via email. The exhibition will be featured on Artsy, and winners will be published on the PMS Artwork Past Competition Winners site. If selected for the gallery exhibition, details on sending or delivering work to the gallery will be provided via email.
