Dollar Bank Three Rivers Arts Festival - Juried Visual Art Exhibition 2014

Dollar Bank Three Rivers Arts Festival, a production of the Pittsburgh Cultural Trust, announces the Juried Visual Art Exhibition. This juried exhibition showcases the Pittsburgh region's vibrant creative community. The exhibition takes place in the Trust Art Education Center 4th Floor Gallery at 805/807 Liberty Avenue during the 2014 Dollar Bank Three Rivers Arts Festival, June 6-15, in downtown Pittsburgh. Works will be juried by a panel of Pittsburgh-based artists and curators who will also select award winners. Awards include a $2,500 Best in Show award, three $500 Juror's Choice awards, and a $500 People's Choice award announced at the conclusion of the Festival.

Artists living within a 150-mile radius are invited to submit up to three qualifying individual pieces. All work must be original, designed and created by the applicant(s), completed within the past year of the exhibition date, and not previously exhibited. Video and sound components must be intended for gallery/group show display; documented performances are ineligible. All work must be ready to hang or display and available for the full duration of the Festival, June 6-15, 2014. Decisions will be based solely on aesthetic quality in an anonymous jury process.

Selected artists will receive notification of acceptance in March and must sign and return the exhibition agreement by March 30, 2014. All accepted artwork must be delivered in person and picked up at 805/807 Liberty Avenue during the schedule outlined in the acceptance letter; shipments cannot be received directly. Installation pieces must be installed within a ten-hour maximum time frame scheduled by the Festival. Works selected for display may not be removed until the Festival's conclusion.
