About This Call
The 88th Annual Dogwood Festival Art Pavilion takes place in downtown Palestine, Texas during the third weekend in March. The Dogwood Arts Council Palestine is sponsoring the Art Pavilion along with a special, ticketed VIP Art Event on Friday night, March 20, from 5:30 - 9:00 pm. The VIP Art Event serves as the kickoff for the festival, where artists showcase their work and meet invited guests while enjoying catered hors d'oeuvres and beverages. Tickets are $25, and each artist receives two free tickets. The Art Pavilion is open to the public free of charge on Saturday, March 21, from 9:00 am - 5:00 pm.
The two-day Art Pavilion event features selected regional fine artists working in a variety of 2-D and 3-D mixed media. The venue is spacious and weather-protected, with overhead lighting and electricity. Booth set up is Friday, March 20, from 8:00 am - 2:00 pm. Volunteers will be available Friday and Saturday to assist with unloading/loading and to provide food and hospitality. Overnight security will be provided Friday night.
Application fee is $35. Booth fees are $130 for 10' x 10', $180 for 10' x 15', and $235 for 10' x 20'. Artists must provide their own panels, lighting, extension cords, and easels for display. All work must be original and of the artist's own creation. The artist must be present to represent and sell their work; no dealers or sales representatives are allowed. Artists must be present for both the VIP Art Event on Friday and the full day of the festival on Saturday. Booth takedown cannot begin until 5:01 pm on Saturday. Cancellations through March 10, 2026 will receive a 50% credit of the booth fee applied to the following year. The jury fee (application fee) will not be refunded for any reason.
