About This Call
The 87th Dogwood Festival is the longest-running Dogwood Festival in the state of Texas, held in the charming Historic Downtown and Old Town district of Palestine, Texas. The Festival kicks off the first of three weekends of the Dogwood Celebration with locals and guests celebrating the season of beautiful Dogwood blooms of East Texas. Live music, art, specialty products, food vendors, kids' activities, and more will fill downtown Palestine the fourth weekend in March.
The Dogwood Arts Council Palestine sponsors the Art Pavilion along with a special ticketed VIP Art Event on Friday night, March 21, from 5:30 - 9:00 pm. The VIP Art Event is located in the Art Pavilion near the Visitors Center and features artists showcasing their work while guests enjoy live music, catered hors d'oeuvres, and beverages. Each artist receives two free tickets. The Dogwood Festival starts on Saturday, March 22, with the Art Pavilion open to the public from 9:00 - 5:00 pm.
The two-day Art Event features regional fine artists working in a variety of media, including 2-D and 3-D. Booth fees are $130 for a 10' x 10' space, $180 for a 10' x 15' space, and $210 for a 10' x 20' space. All work must be original, and artists must be present for both the VIP event and the full festival day. The entire event is held under a large covered pavilion with electricity provided, though artists must provide their own display materials and lighting.
