About This Call
Diversia presents a monthly international online group exhibition series encouraging artists to create work in relation to UN calendar events and critical subjects. This June 2022 exhibition focuses on themes including Global Day of Parents, World Bicycle Day, International Day of Innocent Children Victims of Aggression, World Day Against Child Labour, World Environment Day, World Ocean Day, World Day to Combat Desertification and Drought, World Food Safety Day, World Blood Donor Day, International Day of Family Remittances, World Refugee Day, International Day of Yoga, and International Day of the Celebration of the Solstice. Any abstract or representational interpretations of these subjects are welcome.
Selected artworks will be exhibited online from June 7, 2022 to July 7, 2022. Artists working in any medium are eligible, including painting, drawing, illustration, printmaking, photography, digital arts, fiber art, textile arts, sculpture, and mixed media. Artists can submit up to 6 original artworks, with a maximum of 2 selected per artist. Artworks must be entirely the work of the entrant and not copies or derivatives of copyrighted work. There is no submission fee; selected artists pay a USD 30 selection fee.
Awards include a Public Choice Cash Prize of USD 300 total (USD 100 per artist) for the 3 artworks with the highest ratings, publication in a stylish colorful exhibition catalogue in both online and print versions, promotional badges for social media sharing, artwork reviews and ratings from visitors, exhibition promotion including press releases and social media presentation, analytics reports on views and engagement, potential publication in art magazines and books, a free online artist profile page on the Biafarin platform, and a digital certificate. Selected artists who are Biafarin Gold or Platinum members receive free artwork shipment in case of sales.
