Dimensions: Contemporary Fiber Arts

The Warwick Center for the Arts (WCFA) is pleased to announce the juried exhibition Dimensions: Contemporary Fiber Arts, juried by Gabriel Bielawski and curated by Deborah Siravo. The scope of textiles and fiber encompasses every aspect of our lives. The focus of this exhibit is to bring together the art and practice of creating fiber and textile objects and provide a vision of the future of textiles.

Artists may submit 1-3 artworks in JPG format saved between 72-100 dpi. Works must be original and completed during the last 3 years; previously submitted works will not be accepted. Work done as part of a guided class or workshop is not eligible. All artwork(s) must be prepared and ready for hanging or display. Works that are hung must be wired (no sawtooth hangers). Submissions that explore the beauty and versatility of fiber and textiles as an artistic medium are welcome, including: crochet, quilt, slow stitch, knitting, Kantha, collage, embroidery, rug hooking, weaving, felting, Sashiko, Boro, Pongee, botanical printing, and basketry. Works that include real leather, fur, and/or bones will be excluded.

Entry fee is $30.00 plus $10.00 media fee. Awards total $450 in cash: 1st Place - $200, 2nd Place - $150, 3rd Place - $100, and 2 Honorable Mentions. Exhibition dates are June 18 - August 15, 2025. Artwork drop-off is Friday, June 13, 11am-5pm and Saturday, June 14, 11am-3pm. Shipped artwork must be received by Wednesday, June 18, 2025. Reception is Thursday, June 26, 2025. Artwork pick-up is Saturday, August 16 and Wednesday, August 20, 2025. WCFA retains 30% of artwork sales by members and 40% by non-members.
