About This Call
The City of Orlando invites digital artists to submit animated or computer-generated motion-based artwork for display at Art2 Pocket Park, a vibrant new urban space at the corner of Robinson and Orange in Downtown Orlando. The call seeks 3–6 artists whose work explores digital movement, animation, or computer-generated imagery. Selected works will be showcased on a large outdoor screen as part of a 3-month exhibition.
Selected artists will receive a $1,500 stipend. Each piece should be a minimum of 5 minutes in length and submitted as a high-resolution video file or digital animation in .mp4 format at 1920 x 1080 (Full HD) or higher resolution in landscape 2:1 orientation with no sound. Artist's name and project details will be prominently displayed on-screen during screenings. Pieces may be abstract, narrative, conceptual, or experimental — all digital forms of animated art are welcome.
Eligibility is open to artists working in digital animation, video art, or other motion-based digital formats, including international artists. Artists may submit existing works or propose new pieces and must be able to deliver final digital files in exhibition-ready format. Application requirements include artist name and contact information, a brief artist statement or bio (200 words max), up to 4 video samples, and a description of the proposed piece if not currently created. An optional resume or CV may be included. Submission deadline is September 1, 2025.
