About This Call
The City of Orlando is seeking digital motion art for a three-month exhibition at Art² Pocket Park in Downtown Orlando. Selected artists will receive a $1,500 stipend and have their work displayed with on-screen credits including artist name and project details. All forms of digital motion art are welcome, including animated digital paintings, time-lapse drawing sequences, generative or computer-rendered visuals, and artist video works. Submissions may be abstract, narrative, conceptual, or experimental.
Technical requirements include .mp4 format files in 1920 × 1080 (Full HD) or higher resolution with landscape 2:1 orientation and no sound. Each piece must be a minimum of 5 minutes in length. To ensure safe viewing in the public nighttime setting, artworks may not include bright white or predominantly white backgrounds and artists are encouraged to use darker or more balanced color palettes suitable for outdoor display.
Content must maintain a welcoming and inclusive public environment and cannot include sexual or explicit imagery, hate speech, discriminatory content, theme park representation, logos or advertisements, sports team representation, references to Pulse Nightclub or COVID-19, identifiable persons or celebrities, copyrighted materials, or political or religious messaging. The call is open internationally to artists working in digital, video, animation, or motion-based media, with both existing works and proposals for new pieces accepted.
