About This Call
This exhibition invites artists to explore three thematic areas: Nature and Environment, asking how you perceive the natural world and your connections to nature through landscapes or environmental commentary; Emotional Landscapes, exploring complex emotions and psychological states and how different perspectives alter feelings and perceptions; and Abstract Concepts, interpreting abstract ideas like time, memory, or identity through visual expression.
Artwork must be original work owned solely by the artist with copyright retained. No copy giclee prints are allowed, though photography and digitally produced prints are acceptable as originals. All work must be for sale. Sonoran Arts League Members pay $40 for up to 3 submissions. Jewelers may submit up to 10 pieces and should supply display materials. All 2D wall-displayed art must be wired. For 2D artwork on canvases or panels less than 1½" in depth, work must be gallery wrapped or framed. Maximum weight is 35 pounds and maximum height is 66 inches. Pieces with saw-tooth hangers will not be accepted. For wall-mounted sculpture requiring a system other than a standard picture hanger, the artist must provide the hanging system and either mount the piece or supervise hanging. 3D work should fit on a pedestal of approximately 16" square.
Submit high-quality JPEG image files at least 1500 pixels on the longest edge with a maximum file size of 30 MB. Crop images to show only the artwork without matting, frames, or background. Ensure images are oriented correctly and use the sRGB color profile. Artwork must be clearly labeled with the artist's name, title, medium, and price upon delivery, attached to the back. Entry deadline is December 6, 2024. Contact RoseMary Manchak Ciammitti at [email protected] for questions about the prospectus, eligibility, artwork requirements, drop-off, pick-up, or sales.
