About This Call
The Theological Symposium at Concordia Seminary in St. Louis will host a small exhibit in September to coincide with the symposium. The exhibition seeks one piece to coincide with each plenary session. Artists are welcome to submit work for one or all four plenaries.
Only 2D pieces are accepted for this exhibition. Artwork must be ready to hang with a wire (no sawtooth hangers). The exhibit will be viewed by 150-200 symposium attendees as well as regular library traffic. Artwork delivery is September 9th-13th, the exhibition runs September 16th-27th, and artwork will be packaged and shipped back September 30th-October 4th.
The four plenaries are: "Discerning Devotion: Devotion and Discipleship in a Discontented Age" by David Schmitt; "Devotion in an Age of Distraction" by Charles Arand; "Discovery in an Age of Disenchantment" by Timothy Saleska; and "Discipline in an Age of Disillusionment" by Bruce Hartung. Entry fee is $30.00. Submit 1-10 images. Regional eligibility; Missouri artists only.
