About This Call
The Clare County Arts Council welcomes all artists to apply for the 5th annual Destination Clare Art Sculpture Walk 2026. The selection committee will choose the top ten entries based upon artistic merit, creativity, public safety and durability in an outdoor setting. Finalists will be notified by March 31, 2026 with sculptures installed in May 2026. The exhibit will run May 12, 2026 through April 2027.
An honorarium of $1000 will be paid to selected participating artists upon installation of their sculpture. On May 12, a jury will award $2500 for the Best of Show at an Opening Event. The People's Choice award ($1,000) will be given to the piece that receives the most votes from exhibit attendees through March 2026. CCAC has instituted a RE-LOAN program for 2026, offering selected artists the option to loan their sculptures for an additional year for a $750 stipend, with sculptures moved to new communities in the Clare County area.
All accepted art shall be listed "For Sale by Artist" with CCAC having purchase opportunity with a 20% commission discount. Entry requirements include a complete Artist Bio, Artist Statement, and Sculpture description for each piece. Entries can vary in size with the smallest pedestal of 18" x 18" and the largest size is 4' x 7'. Artists must provide dimensions, weight, and description of how the art will be secured to the concrete base. All residents of the USA are eligible to apply.
