About This Call
The Desert Art Festival celebrates its 37th year on President's Weekend, a three-day outdoor celebration of the visual arts held at The River in Rancho Mirage, CA. One hundred of the finest artists will display their original work in all mediums of fine art and fine craft. This event typically features the work of 100 exhibitors and provides a venue for creators of quality fine art and fine craft to meet with the art-buying public. The show has large established patronage from Canada and the Eastern States as well as California.
This is a strictly juried show that will only exhibit fine art and fine craft. A maximum of 100 artists will exhibit at the 2026 event. The jury uses a blinded process to review four images provided by each artist, with artistic excellence as the sole criterion for selection. Artists must submit 5 images total: 4 individual pieces of work and 1 outdoor display showing overall continuity and presentation. A non-refundable jury fee of $25 is required with application.
Booth spaces are 10' x 10' for $350 or 10' x 20' for $500, plus a 10% commission on all sales. White canopies are required and electricity is not available. Artists must be present for the entire event: Friday and Saturday 10:00 am - 5:00 pm, and Sunday 10:00 am - 4:00 pm. There is prior day setup and overnight security, with overnight parking available at the venue. Admission and parking are free to the public.
