About This Call

The Denali 3D Fine Art Competition is a juried event open to all artists, from professionals to hobbyists to young emerging artists. The theme is of the artist's choice to encourage creative expression. Three-dimensional artwork in any usual art medium is acceptable, including clay, glass, wood, metal, stone, fiber, and computer-generated 3D printed artwork. All artwork submitted must be original in design and the sole work and exclusive property of the artist. All entries will be juried from digital images, with awards selected from original works of art. All artwork must be for sale.

Artists aged 22 years and younger must be enrolled in art classes and will be entered in the Young Emerging Artists category (birth date on or after January 1st, 1994). All students must be currently enrolled in High School or College level art courses. Entries by students under 18 years of age must be submitted by teacher and parent/guardian and listed with the school or university name. Artists may enter up to 20 pieces. The entry fee is $40 for the first artwork and $35 for each additional artwork submission. Digital images must include one front and one side view of the artwork, with two detailed images preferred. All digital image files must be submitted in JPG format. Registration and entry fees must be received by 5:00 pm on March 22nd, 2016. All entry fees are nonrefundable.

Finalists will be notified to submit original artwork for final judging. Selected works must be delivered in excellent condition, accompanied by appropriate supports and ready for judging. Three-dimensional sculpture work must have display stands and/or pedestals suitable for exhibition. Artists are responsible for shipping and insurance costs to and from the competition. All work must include a return label for return shipment. Kobuk LLC is not responsible for any damage during shipment. The competition charges a 35% commission on all sales. Acceptance notifications will be sent April 1st, 2016, with the deadline for receiving shipped artwork on April 22nd, 2016. Competition judging and awards will take place April 24th and 25th, 2016.
