About This Call

The Delmar Loop Flowering Artist Festival is a one-day fine art fair held on May 16, 2026, from 1:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. (rain or shine) on the iconic Delmar Loop in University City, Missouri. The festival allows all levels of artists to exhibit, categorized as "Budding artist" (less than five years experience), "Blooming artist" (five to ten years experience), and "Flowering artist" (over ten years experience). The event is paired with annual mural paintings, the "Mannequin Project," and features live music, food, and entertainment from local talent.

Accepted mediums include painting, drawing, pastels, digital work, photography, 2D and 3D mixed media, fiber, sculpture, wood, metal, glass, jewelry, and ceramics. Work must be designed and executed by the artist; commercially made items, casts, molds, imported products, kit work, mechanically printed items, and AI-generated work will not be accepted. Reproductions of original art are allowed but must not represent the majority of work shown. Cash awards up to $1,000 will be given, with winners notified during the event.

Booth options include 10x10 tent space with buffer ($75, artist provides tent) or rental tent ($175, vendor setup/takedown). Limited local business space options are available ($75). Application fee is $10. Booth fees are due by April 13, 2026. Artists must be 18 years or older, maintain professionalism, and remain present for the entire event. All paintings, watercolors, drawings, prints, digital art, and photographs must be framed or matted. Ceramics must be handmade and individually designed. Jewelry artists may not use commercially fabricated forms or settings. Reproductions must be clearly labeled. No open flames, generators (unless prior approval), or hazardous materials are permitted.
