delecTABLE: The Fine Art of Dining - Third Biennial National Juried Exhibit of Functional Ceramics

delecTABLE is a juried exhibit dedicated to enhancing the presentation of functional ceramics, focusing on the fine art of dining. The exhibit includes serving vessels, place settings, platters, and dinner table décor. Proceeds from the sale of work and associated fundraising events will benefit the Art Students League of Denver and its ceramics program.

Artists may submit up to five digital images and five detail shots of functional ceramic pieces suitable for a dinner table, such as place settings, serving vessels, platters, functional sets, or dinner table décor (vases, candle holders, etc.). Work must be innovative and original, completed within the past three years, and not previously shown at delecTABLE. Pieces must be made entirely of ceramic materials, with limited exceptions for handles, knobs, or accents made of cane, wood, or wire. Size restrictions: each piece or set may not exceed 30 inches in any dimension or 20 pounds in weight. All ceramic work entered must be for sale, with artists receiving 60% of the sale price. The entry fee is $30 (nonrefundable). Images must be professional quality JPEG files at 300 DPI, 1920 x 1920 pixels.

The exhibition runs April 4 – May 13, 2016 at the Art Students League of Denver Gallery (200 Grant Street, Denver, CO). Juror Peter Beasecker will select work based on submitted images. Accepted work must be delivered to ASLD between March 7-11, 2016. Artists are responsible for shipping costs to and from the League and must include a pre-paid return shipping label. Designated awards up to $250 will be announced at the Artists Reception on April 22, 2016. Sale proceeds will be paid to artists within 30 days of the exhibition's end. The application deadline is January 23, 2016 at 11:59 p.m. MST.
