delecTABLE: The Fine Art of Dining – Fourth Biennial National Functional Ceramics Exhibit

delecTABLE is a juried exhibit dedicated to the presentation of functional ceramics, focusing on the fine art of dining, including serving vessels, place settings, platters, and dinner table décor. Proceeds from the sale of work and associated events will benefit the Art Students League of Denver and its ceramics program. The exhibition runs April 6 – May 18, 2018, with a deadline to enter of January 22, 2018. Juror: Marty Fielding. Designated awards for select artworks up to $250.

Eligibility is open to national artists at least 18 years of age. Submit up to five digital images and five detail shots of functional pieces that could be included at a dinner table. Work submitted must be innovative and original in design and a personal expression of the artist's intent. Works must be made entirely out of ceramic materials (exceptions limited to handles, knobs, or other accents made of cane, wood, wire, etc.). Work must have been completed within the past three years and not shown previously at delecTABLE. Size restrictions: each piece or set may not exceed 30 inches in any dimension or 20 pounds in weight. All ceramic work entered must be for sale; the artist receives 60% of the sale price. Sale proceeds will be paid within 30 days of the end of the exhibition. Entry fee is $30 (nonrefundable). Images must be in JPEG format, 300 DPI, 1920 x 1920.

The artist is responsible for shipping and insurance to and from Art Students League of Denver, 200 Grant Street, Denver, CO 80203. A pre-paid UPS or FedEx return shipping label must be included with shipped work. ASLD is responsible for insurance during the exhibition. Local artists may hand-deliver and pick up accepted work. Pieces not sold during the exhibit will be returned in original packaging within 30 days. Submit entries electronically through CAFÉ at www.CallforEntry.org.
