About This Call
Michigan Legacy Art Park, inspired by the work of artist, writer and educator David Barr, offers artist residency programs providing resident artists with time, space, support and inspiration for furthering their work. The park offers two residency options.
The Fall Residency with Lodging runs between September 1 and October 31, 2026. This is a fourteen-day residency, though artists may propose to spend less time. The Fall Residency includes a $1500 stipend for travel, materials, groceries, and incidentals, plus lodging.
The Summer Local Artist non-lodging residency is available between June 1 and August 31, 2026. Participants may choose as many or as few days as they wish and receive a $500 stipend for materials and work. Non-lodging residencies for local artists are available on a limited basis. Submission deadline is April 1, 2026. Entry fee is $20.00.
