d'Art's Third National Exhibition of Collage and Assemblage

Merged is an exhibition of original unique 2D and 3D collage and assemblage artworks including found objects, recycled materials, paper, fiber, wood, and metal. Collages and assemblages must be free standing, wall mount, or pedestal ready. Work may be no longer than 60 inches in its longest dimension and weigh no more than 50 pounds. This exhibition is open to all functional and non-functional, 2D and 3D, fine art and fine craft in all mediums and all styles. The exhibition is in-person and will also be featured digitally on d'Art Center's archive site. The exhibition will be co-curated by Gallery Manager & Curator Amanda Bradley and exhibition juror Wade A. Mickley.

The exhibition runs Saturday, January 7, 2023 through Saturday, February 4, 2023 at d'Art Center's Main Gallery, located at 740 Boush Street in Norfolk, Virginia's NEON District. A reception will be held Thursday, January 12, 2023 from 5:30-7:30pm. Awards include 1st Place: $500, 2nd Place: $300, and 3rd Place: $150. The gallery commission on sales is 60/40 (60% artist, 40% d'Art Center).

Entry fee is $35 for 3 works (one image per submission) plus $5 for each additional submission up to a maximum of 10 works. Submit 3-10 images via Call for Entries. Eligibility is open to all artists 18 or older residing in the United States. All work must be original, created without the aid of an instructor or kit, and produced within the last eight years. Content should be appropriate for all viewers. Artists are responsible for all shipping costs to and from the gallery and must provide pre-paid return labels through UPS or FedEx.
