Dangerous Lullabies VI - 6th Annual Show

Dangerous Lullabies VI is a group fine art exhibition showcased in Woodstock's historic Old Courthouse Arts Center, a 5,000 sq ft gallery located on Woodstock's historic square northwest of Chicago. This is the exhibition's 6th year. Artists are invited to submit work that explores the curious allure of things that frighten us—work designed to examine the beauty found in the ashes of terror or the magnetic pull of work that is disturbing, on-edge, or dark. All mediums will be accepted for consideration.

Joe and Kathleen Isacson are curators for this exhibition, working in partnership with the Northwest Area Arts Council and the Old Courthouse Arts Center. The 2020 exhibit marks the Old Courthouse Art Center's 30th anniversary.

Submission Requirements: Submit 1-5 images. Entry fee is $35. Notifications of acceptance will be made by September 6, 2020. Drop off and delivery dates for artwork are September 16-20. Exhibition dates are October 8 - November 7, 2020. All work, including sold artwork, must remain on display through November 7. Artwork pickup is November 8. The opening reception is Saturday, October 10.

Awards will be given for Best in Show, Honorable Mention, Best Artist Video, and two Blue artist management prizes sponsored by Biafarin Artist Management. Combined prize value is $800. Additionally, accepted artists are encouraged to submit video where they discuss themselves, their process, and artwork for exhibition promotion. One submitted artist video will be chosen for display with an award during the opening reception.
