About This Call
Dangerous Lullabies VIII is an annual group fine art exhibition showcased in the historic Dole Mansion (located northwest of Chicago) and online. The exhibition runs October 3-20, with opening night on Friday, October 7. Artists are invited to submit work that explores the curious allure of things that frighten us, examining the beauty found in the ashes of terror or the magnetic pull of work that is disturbing, on-edge, or dark. All mediums are accepted for consideration.
This show is open to all artists in the United States. The submission fee is $35, and artists may submit up to 5 pieces for one jury fee. The submission deadline is August 27. Awards will be given for 1st Place and one Honorable Mention, 3 Blue Annual Memberships Awards with an international artist management service, 2 publication awards, and 3 People's Choice cash awards for artists who opt in to the online exhibition. Awards will be presented opening night, except for the People's Choice awards, which will be announced online at a later date. Total cash value for awards is over $1,300 USD.
The exhibition is curated and produced by Joe and Kathleen Isacson in partnership with the Lakeside Legacy Arts Park/Foundation at the Dole Mansion.
